Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Gabled mobile application ("the App") provided by UKGADGETS LTD ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the App, you confirm that:
- You are at least 13 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
- You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.
2. Service Description
Gabled is a roof pitch measurement and calculation application that allows you to:
- Measure roof pitch using your device's accelerometer, gyroscope, and camera
- Calculate roofing materials (squares, bundles, underlayment, etc.)
- Calculate rafter dimensions and cut angles (Pro only)
- View reference tables for pitch values and rafter spans
- Save and export measurement history
All sensor data and measurements are processed and stored locally on your device.
3. Important Disclaimer for Measurements
Gabled provides estimates based on device sensor readings. Measurements from this App should not be used as a sole reference for structural or safety decisions. Always verify measurements with professional tools and consult qualified professionals for construction projects. Sensor accuracy varies by device.
4. Subscription Terms

Billing
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
Free Trial
- New subscribers may be eligible for a free trial where available
- You will not be charged during the trial period
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged
- Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription
Cancellation
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- You will retain access to Pro features until the end of your paid period
- No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods

The free version of Gabled includes the following limitations:

6. Pro Benefits
Pro subscribers receive:
- Access to all 9 roofing material types with cost estimates
- Unlimited roof sections for materials calculations
- Full rafter calculator with common and hip/valley rafters
- IRC rafter span reference tables
- 50 saved measurements with labels
- Export and share measurement reports
- Customizable default settings (waste factor, spacing, overhang, ridge thickness)
7. User Obligations
When using the App, you agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes
- Not rely solely on App measurements for structural or safety decisions
- Respect the intellectual property rights of others
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
- Not interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
8. Prohibited Activities
You must not:
- Attempt to circumvent free tier limitations
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Modify, adapt, or hack the App
- Use automated systems to access the App
- Redistribute or resell the App or its content
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
9. Intellectual Property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by UKGADGETS LTD and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of any measurement data you create using the App.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF MEASUREMENTS
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Measurement accuracy depends on device hardware and conditions.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UKGADGETS LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
- Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the App
- Any damages arising from reliance on measurements provided by the App
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including:
- Breach of these Terms
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Conduct harmful to other users or the App
Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. App Store Compliance
This App is made available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. By using the App, you also agree to comply with the applicable terms of service of these platforms.
Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the App or its content. However, Apple and Google and their subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by:
- Updating the "Last updated" date
- Posting notice in the App
Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
