Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how UKGADGETS LTD ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Oscillia mobile application ("the App"). Oscillia is designed to process as much as possible on-device. We do not require an account, and we do not collect or transmit your audio.
1. Information We Collect
Audio
The App does not record, upload, or transmit audio. Every tone you hear — binaural, isochronic, monaural, pure tone, and noise layers — is synthesized in real time by the native audio engine on your device. Bundled ambient sounds (rain, ocean, forest, etc.) play from files shipped with the App. Nothing is captured from a microphone, and nothing is sent to our servers.
On-device Session Data
To power the Stats and History features, the App stores the following locally on your device in a SQLite database:
- Session title, goal, frequency band, and carrier frequency
- Intended duration and actual duration
- Timestamp the session started
- Names of ambient layers used
- Completion status
This data never leaves your device. It is removed when you delete the App. If you use Oscillia Pro's "Clear history" control, it is deleted immediately.
Preferences
Settings such as dark/light mode, default timer, favorited sessions, and onboarding completion are stored locally via the platform's standard preferences storage. These are not transmitted.
Purchase Information
If you subscribe to Oscillia Pro or purchase the lifetime unlock, your payment is processed by the Apple App Store. We receive, via RevenueCat, only:
- Subscription or lifetime entitlement status (active / inactive)
- Product identifier (weekly vs. lifetime)
- Transaction identifiers and expiration date
- An anonymous app-user identifier generated by RevenueCat
We do not receive or store your payment card details, Apple ID, email address, or name.
Diagnostic Information
If the App crashes and you have enabled Apple's "Share With App Developers" setting, Apple may send anonymized crash reports to us through App Store Connect. We use these only to fix bugs.
2. How We Use Information
We use the limited information we receive to:
- Validate your Oscillia Pro entitlement and restore purchases across devices
- Keep your session history, presets, and settings on your device
- Diagnose and fix crashes and audio engine issues
- Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations
We do not sell personal information. We do not run advertising inside Oscillia.
3. Third-Party Services
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, validate receipts with the App Store, and sync entitlements between devices signed in to the same Apple ID. RevenueCat processes an anonymous app-user identifier and transaction metadata on our behalf.

Apple App Store
Purchases and subscription billing are handled entirely by Apple. Apple's privacy and payment terms govern the transaction. Please review Apple's privacy policy for details on how they process purchase data.
4. Data Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we handle, including:
- No cloud storage of audio, session history, presets, or settings — everything stays on your device
- Encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS) for entitlement and receipt validation with RevenueCat
- No account system, which means no passwords to leak
5. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary:
- Audio: Never retained — never recorded in the first place
- Session history and preferences: Kept on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App
- Subscription metadata (via RevenueCat): Retained while your entitlement is active, and for the period required for tax, accounting, and audit obligations thereafter
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights in relation to the limited personal data we process:
GDPR Rights (European Users)
- Right to access the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
CCPA Rights (California Users)
- Right to know what personal information we process
- Right to delete personal information
- Right to opt-out of sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. Because we do not operate an account system, we may ask you to provide your RevenueCat app-user ID (surfaced inside the App's Settings screen) so we can locate the entitlement records associated with you.
7. Children's Privacy
Oscillia is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
8. International Data Transfers
RevenueCat and the Apple App Store operate internationally, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on the recipient's self-certification under applicable frameworks and on Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will:
- Post the updated policy on this page
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top
- Surface an in-app notice for material changes that affect how your data is handled
